Introducing Starker Hounds
Formerly known as The Happy Paws Company, we’ve grown, evolved, and found our true voice, and so we’re now proudly Starker Hounds. The heart behind what we do hasn’t changed: we’re still here for the anxious ones, the reactive ones, the golden oldies, and the gloriously weird ones. But this new chapter lets us lean deeper into what makes us (and your hounds) unique. New name, same soul, just with more space to celebrate every kind of dog and every kind of human, exactly as they are.

Some of our products may still arrive withThe Happy Paws Company branding while we transition into our new look as Starker Hounds. We're committed to reducing waste and being kind to the planet, so we’ll be using up existing packaging and materials rather than throwing them away. Rest assured it's the same thoughtful quality inside, just with a little bit of our old name on the outside.
Why the change?
When I started this business it was always in honour of my pups; Stark & Parker. As time went on, I didn't feel The Happy Paws Company gave them the credit they deserved for being the inspiration behind the brand. I felt very generic, and like I wasn't showing the unique spirit & heart of the brand I was building. As the girls are also getting older I not only wanted to create products that focussed on making dogs with additional needs lives easier, and the lives of their owners, but I almost wanted to immortalise them somehow. So by combining their names, & giving this brand a touch of their uniqueness I came up with Starker Hounds, & it just felt right, it felt like home.
What's to come?
Of course we are still building the brand in this way, & we know it may be a long road, but we're here for it. Our mission is to focus fully on products that work for every hound, every human, every day. We're small, but we have a big heart & big dreams, so even if it takes us a bit longer to get there than other brands, we hope you'll join us on this journey.
No pup deserves to feel outcast, scared or like this world wasn't made for them, so let's join together to make the world a better place for us & our dogs that don't fit the mould.
